Objective:
Lead strategic supply base development to improve company’s supply base, including quality and productivity improvements at existing suppliers, lead or support corporate Supplier Development Programs, establishing a world class supply base to best service various Indicor buying sites worldwide.
Major Responsibility
1.Implement Indicor Supplier Development strategies, establishing policies, procedures and initiatives to help improve the supply base in China/Asia.
2.Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on supplier performance, supplier rating, supplier audit finding and corporate strategy, including QMS/Lean tools training and hands on facilitation (incl. Kaizen event) and improvement to help supplier improve processes and achieve productivity, cesses are followed with suggested modifications as appropriate, enhance execute and drive for result.
4.Supplier audit and evaluation to support large scale or critical business localization or transition, implement periodic supplier audits - continue to improve the product quality and drive for continuous improvement in quality/cost savings program (incl. VA/VE) to reduce the overall cost of the value chain
Candidate Requirements:
Education:
A recognized bachelor degree or above, technical or industrial engineering background
Preferred Job related certifications:
Lean Six-Sigma green belt, ISO9000 and/or TS16949 internal auditor Work experience:
A minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or quality, industrial engineering preferably multinational corporation and Six-sigma/Lean consulting experience
Analytical, proactive and able to foster effective working relationships with business units, suppliers and colleagues;
Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross functional teams
Demonstrated ability to champion change and execute strategies to meet goals
Familiar or experience with manufacturing operations
Preferred experience with supplier assessment and audits
Preferred working knowledge of Six-sigma and/or Lean
Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin;Good presentation and communication skills to executives, outside company (suppliers, customers) and internal groups.
High business ethical standards
Be self motivated and able to drive trouble shooting and corrective action efforts.
Ability to travel, as required, estimated 50%-60%
